What it is

A set of planning poker cards that runs in the browser. Open stijnvanhulle.be/scrum, tap a card, and it stays face-down until you reveal it. Turn your phone to the team and reveal together.

How it works

Pick the Standard, Fibonacci, or T-shirt deck, and the page remembers your choice. Tap the card to reveal it, or shake your phone. On iOS the shake needs a one-time motion permission, which the page asks for on your first pick.

To vote as a team, tap Room and start a room on a shared screen. It shows a 6-character code and a share link. Everyone joins from their phone with a name and picks a card. The shared screen lists who has voted and keeps the scores hidden until you tap Reveal. Then it marks the highest and lowest estimate, so those two people explain first. New round sends every phone back to the cards.

The cards use the column count that gives the largest card on your screen. Add the page to your home screen on iOS or Android and it opens full screen with its own icon, without the portfolio around it.

Why I built it

Estimation sessions need cards. I wanted a set that works without an account or a backend. Alone, every pick stays on your device. In a room, phones connect directly to the shared screen with Trystero, an open-source WebRTC library. Public Nostr relays only help the devices find each other, so the scores go straight from each phone to the screen. A strict office firewall can block that direct connection, and the page tells you when it can't reach the room.
